Australasian Business Intelligence, April, 2005 by Fenton-Jones, Mark
Apr 28, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)
The major accounting firms have withdrawn from the provision of computer software for US compliance. KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Deloitte developed software to help their clients comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley regime. However, KPMG and PwC have sold their software and Deloitte is not upgrading or supporting its product. The companies feel that they do not have the capability to develop the software or provide technical assistance. Clients want more from the offerings. They are looking for policy management tools, not just financial controls.
