APRA redefines super standards.(Australian Prudential Regulation Authority)(Brief Article)

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is proposing amendments to its treatment of superannuation. At issue is super surpluses and deficits: APRA's existing economic approach disallows them while the new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) require companies to report their value. The prudential regulator wants to follow the IFRS when it comes to super deficits but not super surpluses.
