Fairfax takes swipe at Seek.(John Fairfax Holdings Ltd.)(Brief Article)

Sydney newspaper publisher, John Fairfax Holdings, has criticised claims made in Seek's prospectus. The Australian online recruitment group is scheduled to list on 18 April 2005. An in-house analysis by Fairfax takes issue with Seek's claims that online advertising has advantages over print classifieds. Fairfax looked at buying a stake in Seek two years ago and has since been criticised for failing to act. It says, however, that Seek was an unwilling seller. In August 2003, Publishing & Broadcasting bought 25 per cent of Seek.
