New Zealand's Sky Television may be contemplating the launch of a free-to-air television channel. However, Tony O'Brien, its director of communications, said that any such channel would be restricted to broadcasting sports, and that its recently launched current affairs program, "Williams Up Front", would not be a potential candidate. O'Brien says that "Williams Up Front", which is hosted by Larry Williams and sponsored by Gulf Harbour, has been very well received by its viewers.
