The European Union (EU), with a potential market of 500 million people, is a very attractive target for New Zealand biotechnology firms. However, Michael Brosch suggests many firms trying to break into it may be going the wrong way about it by using trade fairs. Brosch is the director of international trade for the Nottingham Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NCCI). In conjunction with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and the British Consulate General, Brosch says the NCCI is happy to help connect New Zealand biotechs with European biotechs who may be interested in some form of partnership.
