Foster's Group is already working on absorbing the operations of its target, Southcorp. It has an integration team comprising of 25 people and led by Michael Brooks, a supply chain executive, who most recently managed the expansion of Foster's Yatala brewery in Queensland. It is believed Foster's wants to close Southcorp's head office in Sydney and separate its Beringer wine operations in the US from Southcorp's business in the same region for at least a year.
