Australian caravan manufacturer, Fleetwood, has lowered its earnings forecast for 2004-05 by 14 per cent to $A24 million. It is blaming the higher-than-expected costs of expanding its manufacturing facilities. It has also been adversely affected by the sale of its campervan hire operations, skill shortages and rising input costs. Fleetwood's shares ended $A0.26 up at $A6.23 on 9 May 2005 though. Fund managers said earnings weakness had already been accounted for in the share price.
