Brisbane-based company, Campbell Brothers, has reported a 41 per cent rise in profit to $A25.3 million for the year to March 2005. Its Australian Laboratory Services (ALS) division was responsible for 70 per cent of its pre-tax earnings, and the company expects it to continue to grow, given the buoyancy in the mining sector. The ALS Chemex mineral assay business performed particularly well during the year. Campbell Brothers ended $A0.55 up at $A9.60 on 24 May 2005.
