The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) is investigating claims of collusion amongst Brisbane service stations. The ACCC has launched legal action over the claims of price-fixing by the managers of the two petrol stations in the Woodridge area. The competition regulator alleges that collusion took place between May 2002 and April 2003, and again between August 2003 and January 2004. It is alleged that they struck a deal to jointly decide when to increase the price of unleaded petrol and LPG, and by how much.
