Richard Leupen is the CEO of Australian rail and infrastructure services company, United Group. It recently bought Singapore property services specialist, Premas, and the Australian transport arm of France's Alstom. He does not believe that the acquisitions will fail because United intends to maintain the businesses' operations and management. Leupen says he spends much time on setting goals for the company and relies heavily on the heads of United's divisions. His influences include John Cotter, Wesfarmers CEO Michael Chaney and ex-General Electric chief, Jack Welch.
