Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2005
Jun 26, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)
In late June 2005 Australian banks will alert credit card holders, months after their card details were stolen. A hack into US company CardSystems Solutions netted the details of 40 million cards. National Australia Bank became aware of a pattern of suspicious transactions early on. About 130,00 Australian cards were involved. Some banks have blocked cards deemed to be at high risk, but now all affected cardholders will be informed.
