Quickflix in price plunge.

Quickflix had a disappointing debut on the Australian sharemarket on 27 June 2005. The online DVD rental service finished its first day of trading at $A0.07, compared with a listing price of $A0.15 a share. The stock had been issued at $A0.20, raising $A3m for the group, which competes with Telstra in the burgeoning online DVD hire sector. Quickflix boasts about 2,000 subscribers at present, and will seek to build its customer base via partners such as Singtel Optus and John Fairfax Holdings.
