CVC tips $148m for Restaurant Brands.

Australian private equity group, CVC Asia Pacific, is seeking to buy New Zealand fast food franchisor, Restaurant Brands. CVC has offered $NZ160 million ($A148 million), or $NZ1.65 a share. Restaurant Brands operates Pizza Hut, KFC and Starbucks outlets in New Zealand and Pizza Hut outlets in Victoria. CVC has a fund of $US1.975 billion ($A2.6 billion) for investment, and this will be its second deal. CVC feels that Restaurant Brands has stable earnings.
