ATO calls action stations on Labor threat.

The Australian Taxation Office is bracing for a supposed hassle of delayed tax changes. The Australian Labor Party opposes the 2005- 06 Budget income tax cuts, meaning the cuts will be introduced part-way through the financial year, after the Australian Government gains Senate control. In June 2005, Labor leader Kim Beazley and accounting software company Quicken said businesses would simply change tax schedules using a CD- Rom software update.
