Colonial ready to unleash quant squad.

A CEO is being sought to head a joint venture between Australia's Colonial First State and Acadian. The two fund managers are progressing with plans to set up a quant fund. Quant funds base all investment decisions purely on figures, which means that stock analysts are not required. The joint venture will be run independently, however Colonial will distribute and market its products. Research will be sourced from IBIS.
