Top partners better leaders: study.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2005
Jul 28, 2005 (Lawyers Weekly - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Great law partners are able to adapt their leadership styles, according to Hay Group research. Hay Group studied 33 partners at one law firm, 13 of whom were judged to be top performers in terms of revenue generation, skills and client relationships.
The top performers used a range of leadership styles in different situations. They were able to use a directive style when necessary,
but unlike mediocre performers, they changed to more people-friendly modes (participative, visionary or coaching) in less critical situations.
