Amcor may sign up for CHH sale.

Australian-based global packaging group Amcor has indicated it is interested is some of the assets of Carter Holt Harvey (CHH). CHH has a total of 14 businesses in Australia and New Zealand's forestry, timber, pulp and packaging industries. US-based International Paper has announced intentions to divest its 51 holding in CHH. Investment analysts have commented it will be difficult to locate a single buyer for the business. Amcor group managing director, Ken MacKenzie, said CHH's paper and packaging division is being reviewed by Amcor. Visy Industries Australia has also expressed interest in parts of CHH.
