Tax Office probed Vizard charity.

Australian businessman Steve Vizard has also been the subject of a probe by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). He has been making headlines recently due to the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) bringing civil action against him for alleged insider trading in shares related to his Telstra directorship. It has now emerged that following tax evasion accusations raised against him in the trial of his accountant, who Vizard said had defrauded him of $A5m, the ATO started investigating him. Sources say the ATO inquiries have been completed, and involved the Vizard Foundation and other companies set up by Vizard.
