First to list in the new year, Penrice rises to the occasion.

Adelaide soda ash manufacturer, Penrice Soda Holdings, floated on the Australian Stock Exchange on 4 July 2005. The stock closed $A0.035 above its issue price of $A1.93 a share. The initial public offering raised more than $A80 million, with owners Quadrant Capital Fund Number Three and Colonial First State Private Equity selling their stakes. Penrice is forecasting a net profit after tax of $A10.2 million for 2005-06, on revenue of $A140 million, and a dividend of $A0.142 a share.
