Former director admits $1m theft from firm.

Aug 31, 2005 (The West Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Perth businessman Nicholas Carroll has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $A1m
from recruitment firm Aurium Asset. The 43- year-old was a director of the company, which trades as Mangrove Personnel. Carroll pleaded guilty to five counts of stealing amounts of up to $A268,491 between February and April 2005. Carroll was extradited from London in August 2005. A warrant was issued
for his arrest after Aurium director Grant Cucel discovered that cheques for business activity statements totalling almost $A1.1m had not been received by the Australian Taxation Office.
