Visa plans debit card promotion.

Aug 09, 2005 (B&T Weekly - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Visa has had its debit card product available in the Australian marketplace since November
2004. John Kresge, of Visa, says that growth in its debit card business is growing at a faster rate than the credit cards with which it is traditionally associated, due to the
fact that it is easier for a consumer to become eligible for a debit card than it is for a credit card. He also says that people feel more comfortable about making a transaction on the internet with a debit card than they do with a credit card.
