Cloning's gone to the dogs.

Aug 03, 2005 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- South Korean scientists have successfully cloned an Afghan hound. The dog was born on 24 April 2005, after being created from ear- skin cells. Snuppy was created using somatic cell nuclear transfer. Ian Gunn of Australia's Monash University says the cloning of Snuppy is a breakthrough, as dogs are more difficult to clone than other animals. Alan Wilton believes the technique could soon be used to clone endangered animals.
