'Women's disease' tells on careers.

Aug 01, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The chronic disease, endometriosis, affects only women and causes severe pain and fatigue. It causes abnormal tissue to grow
in the pelvis. There is evidence that women with the disease hide it from bosses, due to fear of discrimination in the workplace. A recent survey in the UK found that over 80
of women with endometriosis have to take time off work. The Oxford University gynaecologist, Dr Stephen Kennedy, spoke
about the issue at a conference in Sydney. He said that sufferers will not speak out at work, due to the male culture of the business world....
