Sep 23, 2005 (Super Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- There must be more clarity in describing Australian superannuation fund investment
options. Russell Mason, principal of Mercer Human Resource Consulting, said such labels as "balanced", "growth", "active" or "diversified" are not being applied consistently. Research conducted by Mercer shows the range of underlying asset allocations applied to categories of funds is so wide that it makes comparisons difficult. Funds should use labels in a more systematic way.
