Sep 26, 2005 (Northern Territory News - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Dutch defending champion "Nuna 3" is on a record-setting pace in the 2005 "World Solar Challenge" race from Darwin to Adelaide. The Nuon Solar Team entry led the University of Michigan car by one hour as the field reached 150km south of Alice Springs on 26 September
2005. The Australian Aurora team was in third place. A German entry driven by adventurer Detlef Schmidt withdrew after a breakdown, and 19 cars remained in the race to Adelaide.
