Rush for gold as supply shrinks.

Sep 20, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian resources stocks made significant gains on 20 September 2005 as commodities prices reached new highs. Crude oil is
approaching $US70 a barrel, with another hurricane threatening the Gulf of Mexico. Overnight gold futures rose to their highest
level in 17 years. Gold for September delivery was up $US7.10 an ounce to $US470.40 in New York. Copper futures also rose in both the US and London. In Australia, shares in Newcrest Mining, Oxiana, Rio Tinto, Zinifex, Lihir Gold and Kingsgate Consolidated all reached new records.
