Norris slips behind the desk at CBA.

Sep 18, 2005 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Richard Norris, the incoming CEO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has familiarised himself with the business. He officially takes over the reins from David Murray on 23 September 2005, and will need to improve customer relations and contain costs.Before taking the CEO position at Air New Zealand (NZ), Norris had worked for 10 years as CEO of the Commonwealth Bank's NZ
business, ASB Bank. Murray adopted Norris's ASB planning and laid off 3,700 staff at the Australian company under the "Which New Bank" program.
