Electronic Arts says in-game advertising is "just around the corner".

the much-anticipated burgeoning of in-game advertising is about to occur. The marketing manager at Electronic Arts, Brendan Geraghty, claims that in-game advertising has the

capacity to extend "beyond just billboard- style placements". Geraghty explains that content used in the video game can act in the same way as product placement in films. He reveals that new technology allows advertisements used in online interactive

games to be updated.
