The pre-seed venture capital fund began in 2000 as a joint venture between the University of Melbourne and the University of Queensland to develop technology developed at each institution. Uniseed had almost exhausted its $A20 million
start up capital at the beginning of 2005, but a $A15 million investment from Westscheme and a further $A8 million contribution from each institution, and the University of New
South Wales planning to buy in for $A10 million have boosted funds under management to $A60 million....
