Telstra denies policy breaches privacy.

Sep 08, 2005 (Privacy Alert - ABIX via COMTEX) -- It is alleged in the media that Telstra collects sensitive information about staff and has policies permitting video surveillance. The Australian Privacy Commissioner has been asked by the Community
& Public Sector Union to investigate the allegations. According to an official at the telco, the media article is only a "beat-up".The official says that sensitive information
is defined in a staff monitoring document. Michael Pickering, the chief privacy officer at Telstra, reports that the telco has consulted the Office of the Federal Privacy Commission about its policy.
