A panel of business leaders at the Forbes Global CEO Conference in Sydney said that despite a perceived cultural divide, public servants have many skills that are applicable to a commercial environment. They are adept at dealing with complex problems, and at dealing with a range of stakeholders. They are able to take a long-term or broad focus on issues, and often adapt surprisingly well
to the private sector environment.
