Harvey Norman launches credit card.

Oct 27, 2005 (Inside Retailing - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian retailer Harvey Norman plans to launch an in-store credit card, called GO MasterCard. The group has chosen to appoint GE Money to administer the new credit card. Harvey Norman CEO Gerry Harvey notes that while administering its own credit card, like

David Jones, would be more profitable, it would also carry more risk. GE Money had previously set up credit card services for Coles Myer. The Harvey Norman GO MasterCard includes a points reward scheme for cardholders, which will be redeemable at Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne stores.
