Oct 20, 2005 (New Scientist - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Viagra will not save endangered species. Pfizer, the manufacturer of Viagra, has
commissioned a survey of male users of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), conducted by a team of scientists of the University of New South Wales in Sydney among 256 men at clinics in Hong Kong. It revealed that those with erectile dysfunction increasingly choose western treatments, including Viagra, instead
of animal products. However, Sabri Zain, advocacy director of the British wildlife trade monitoring network Traffic, says that treatment for erectile dysfunction is only a small part of TCM.
