Share woes take bite from Gunns.

Australasian Business Intelligence, October, 2005

Byline: Nick Clark

Oct 25, 2005 (The Mercury - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Shares in Tasmanian timber group Gunns declined $A0.13 to $A2.80 on 25 October 2005,

compared with a peak of $A4.80 in late 2004. Concerns about Asian woodchip markets have negatively affected the stock. Woodchip sales volumes declined 12 in the first half

of 2005, and analysts believe there has been a continuation of the trend in the first quarter of 2005-06. ABN Amro Australia

expects the company will record a 12 decline in profit to $A97m in 2005-06, while an $A82.7m result is expected by Deutsche Bank.
