Road sage: it's not just academic.
Australasian Business Intelligence, October, 2005
Byline: Robert Clow and Michael West
Oct 23, 2005 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Sydney University traffic expert, John Golberg, is engaged in a dispute with
Macquarie Bank and Transurban. In October 2005 Dr Goldberg produced research showing that revenues generated by CityLink in Melbourne and the M2 in Sydney are being propped up by government tax breaks. He claims they would not be commercially viable without the support of government infrastructure bonds. The Australian investment bank and toll road group
Transurban have now responded, claiming that Dr Goldberg's research is flawed.
