Oct 14, 2005 (Weekly Tax Bulletin - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has released Draft Goods and Services Taxation Ruling GSTR 2005/05. The document, issued on

4 October 2005, explains the meaning of the term "improvements on the land". The ATO states in the ruling that the term will be used in its broadest meaning. The examples of such improvements include the building up of soil fertility, removal of rocks, stones or soil, and excavation.
