asked for more coercive powers, after meeting legal hurdles. The Australian Crime Commission (ACC) and the Australian Taxation

Office (ATO) are running a probe of a fraudulent tax scheme. The investigation, called "Operation Wickenby", has run into several witnesses who have refused to testify. About six witnesses have challenged an ACC summons on constitutional grounds.
