Nov 30, 2005 (Independent Financial Adviser - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australia's financial planning industry has been advised to improve its image by donating more money to charities. David Gonski,

chairman of Coca-Cola Amatil, told the Financial Planning Association national conference, held in mid-November 2005, that the industry has a reputation among many consumers of being money driven and narrow- minded. This perception can be changed by financial planners becoming more charitable.

There are different forms of supporting charities, such as workplace giving, private philanthropic funds, and bequests.
