Australasian Business Intelligence, November, 2005
Nov 14, 2005 (Food Industry Week (NZ) - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Plans for Kripsy Kreme Australia to enter the New Zealand (NZ) market in 2006 have been deferred until 2007. It is uncertain how the franchise is performing in Australia. The US owner of Krispy Kreme has sold its 35 per cent holding in the Australasian master franchise. Kripsy Kreme has been struggling in the US, amid falling sales, litigation and an investigation by the US Securities & Exchange Commission. The Canadian master
