Revealed: the true cost of late-life IVF.

Dec 18, 2005 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New research by the University of New South Wales on the costs of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments has been issued. It will be

published in the "Medical Journal of Australia" and shows that the amounts rise dramatically for older women, with the

average for those under 30 years old $A24,809, but $A97,884 for those over 40 and $A182,794 for women aged 42 and older. At the same time, the numbers of older women using IVF are quite small.
