ASIC to re-examine auditors.

Dec 08, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Securities & Investments Commission intends to direct more focus to Australia's four large accounting firms. The regulator has announced that it will likely commence its second examination of one of the major auditing groups in January 2006. The first investigation into the independence of Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers suggested some improvements to those groups' practices could
be made, but did not find that any of the companies had breached Australia's Corporations Act. The latest inspections
