One in five Vic public servants bullied.

Jan 23, 2006 (Discrimination Alert - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Victorian State Service Authority has issued the "People Matters Survey 2005". The Authority reveals that 37 per cent of surveyed public servants had witnessed workplace bullying in the last year, while 21 per cent had been bullied. Indigenous people, people with disabilities, staff on lower wages, older staff and women were more likely to be the target of bullying. Some 90 per cent of respondents said there was no sexual harassment in their workplace, while 34 per cent thought that taking advantage of grievance handling processes would have a negative impact.
