Downer EDI raises targets.

Feb 23, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian engineering services group, Downer EDI, has lifted its profit forecast after a good result. It reported a net profit of $A69.6 million for the first half of 2005-06, an increase of 50 per cent. The company has benefited from the strong growth in the
resources and infrastructure sectors. MD Stephen Gillies said that Downer expects sales revenue and profit growth for 2005-06 to be at least 20 per cent higher than during the previous year.
