Jetstar pilots' pay nosedives.
Australasian Business Intelligence, February, 2006

Feb 15, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian airline, Qantas, has offered lower pay to pilots of its subsidiary, Jetstar
International. The Jetstar Pilots Council has been offered an incrementally increasing pay scale which would pay $A158,000 to a captain flying an A330 widebody aircraft. This is nearly $A100,000 less than Qantas captains are paid. Jetstar International is expected to use four Qantas A330 aircraft
when it first begins service. Qantas pilots are unhappy that Jetstar is recruiting overseas and appears to be uninterested in them.
