Feb 14, 2006 (Ragtrader - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Sportswear label Russell Corporation Australia has created a new apparel range for

the consumer retail market. The move is part of efforts by the US-based Russell Athletic subsidiary to reposition itself away from its traditional sports sponsorship model, with 70

per cent of Russell Athletics' range in Australasia now designed for the retail market. The label has also launched a womenswear range. Russell Corporation also owns the Spalding, Hussy and Brooks brands, and has recently acquired football label Sherrin.
