Feb 02, 2006 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An Australian university is leading a venture into global learning. "The Scholar Ship" is a luxury cruise liner, which will become a

university campus. The venture is being led by Macquarie University and involves five other institutions from China, Morocco, Mexico and Ghana. The students will study issues of global concern and learn skills for working in a global market. The first 16- week cruise leaves Athens in January 2007.

There will be about 700 students, each paying $US19,500 ($A25,000).
