Feb 01, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- There is a lot that corporate organisations can learn from the not-for-profit (NFP) sector. Likewise, the Hay Group concluded in its late 2005 report "Engaging Leaders" that NFPs can learn from businesses also. Outstanding leadership in the NFP sector can involve the following qualities: a personal sense and alignment of cause to the organisation; clearly targeting and tailoring the sense of purpose so that broader interests and stakeholders are engaged; and a strong leadership style freed from operational management through a competent and effective board and management.
