Mar 28, 2006 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Amid tough price negotiations with Chinese buyers, the world's top iron ore producers face even more troubles. In Australia, BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto have been forced to shut down their Pilbara port operations, while they wait for Cyclone Glenda to pass. On the other side of the world, Brazil-based Companhia Vale do Rio Doce is beset by industrial action by port workers, and may have to reduce shipments.
