Calling old mobiles.

Australasian Business Intelligence, March, 2006

Byline: Harriet Alexander

Mar 21, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Mobile Telecommunications

Association (AMTA) has found that mobile telephones are upgraded approximately every 18 months. This has led to a major recycling effort, under the "MobileMuster" banner, so that disused mobile handsets can be broken down and parts re-used. AMTA's national recycling manager, Rose Read, has confirmed

that 90 per cent of the materials in mobile telephones are re-usable by the electronic group MRI. To discover recycling locations the web site www.mobilemuster.com.au is available.
