Mar 21, 2006 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Vanderbilt University aims to build a new kind of strategic partnership - one that

actually exists in real life. Professor Gordon Gee, chancellor of the respected US institution, is in Australia to visit prospective partner universities. Gee says most partnerships between universities are essentially empty, in that they never result in any actual co-operation, and go no further than an attractive statement on a brochure.
